“The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18, NIV).
Sometimes it’s easy to become so goal-oriented and so focused on our dreams that we overlook the simple things that we should be enjoying in our everyday life. But we have to remember that life is not really about the destination, it’s about how we live all along the way. It’s about the path we’re on that shines brighter and brighter.
In this life, there is no such thing as a finish line. Once you accomplish one dream, God will give you another. When you overcome one challenge, there will be another. There is always another mountain to climb. If we make the mistake of just living for the destination, we’ll look up one day and realize we’ve missed out on the biggest part of life because most of life is routine. Most of us get up every morning, go to work, come home, eat dinner, go to bed and do it again. There are very few mountaintops where you graduate from school, or you get married, or have a child, or go on vacation. The high times are few and far between. Don’t get stuck living for the mountaintops. Learn to enjoy the path you’re on. Learn to enjoy the people in your life. Learn to enjoy the simple blessings of walking in the path the Lord has prepared for you.
THIS SEEMS TO BE THE SCRIPTURE THAT GOD WANTS ME TO TRULY UNDERSTAND — IT’S BEEN DEFINITELY SHOWING UP LITERALLY E V E R Y W H E R E!
“And Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ He said, ‘Come!’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus” (Matthew 14:28-29 AMP).
Why do you suppose Peter wanted to get out of the boat? Why did he all of the sudden think he could walk on water? Well, you might say, “ it’s because he saw Jesus open the blind eyes and cleanse the lepers.” Yes, that’s true. But the other disciples in the boat saw the same things. Why didn’t they want to get out? I believe it was because Peter understood that it was his time. He stirred his faith up. He believed at that moment that he could do what God placed in his heart. Jesus said, “Peter, do you want to get out of that boat?” He said, “Yes, I do.” Jesus replied, “Well, come on out.” Notice that Jesus didn’t say, “Peter, stay in that boat. Don’t you know I’m the Son of God?” No. He said, “Peter, I like your attitude of faith. I like the fact that you believe you can do great things.” I encourage you today to have that same kind of boldness. Start believing that your time is here! All the dreams that you’ve buried, those desires that you thought would never work out, it’s time to start believing again. It’s your time, and it’s time to step out of the boat!
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”(2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJ)
You may not realize it, but God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life. You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out blessing in your life.
It also says that His promises are “amen.” That means “so be it”—it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but He has requirements for us to fulfill in order to see His promises come to pass in our lives. For example, It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life. The good news is, when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. You stand secure knowing that God is faithful! Keep standing, keep believing, and keep following His commands because His promises are “yes” and “amen” in your life!
I used to be so afraid of going into fulltime ministry because of one terrifying belief: that burnout was inevitable. Growing up, I saw so many parents, pastors, leaders, teachers, and servants leaving church because they were burnt out. If not that, they would step down from their position and…
GOD IS MY VICTORY AND HE IS HERE <3
This is my prayer in the desert.. when all within me feels dry. This is a prayer when there’s hunger in me.. My God is the God who provides.
This is my prayer in the fire.. In weakness or trial or pain. There is a faith proved more worth than gold So refine me Lord through the flames
This is my prayer in the battle And triumph is still on its way I am a conquerer and co-heir with Christ So firm on His promise I’ll stand!
This is my prayer in the harvest When favor and providence flow I know I’m filled to be emptied again So the seed I’ve received I will sow..
In every season, you are still God I have a reason to sing I have a reason to worship!
And I will bring praise! I will bring praise! No weapon formed against me shall remain!
I will rejoice, I will declare… GOD IS MY VICTORY AND HE IS HERE <3
